Our management team has decades of experience in the seafood business and has helped grow our company to be one of the leaders in the Canadian fishing industry. While our roots are in Newfoundland and Labrador, we have a strong connection throughout the Atlantic provinces with operations in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia along with strong partnerships in PEI and New Brunswick.
A fully vertically integrated company, OCI offers the widest variety of species to our customers, including snow crab, lobster, cold-water shrimp, scallops, Atlantic cod, flounder & sole, redfish, Greenland halibut, mackerel and capelin. We have sales offices in North America, Europe and Asia and each year sell over 100 million pounds of product to over 30 countries.
We are now global leaders in seafood sustainability and quality assurance initiatives and are known as innovators in the business, having been in many cases the first to introduce new ideas and technology to the industry. Our commitment to ocean conservation is of the highest importance to us and we have worked tirelessly with government, research scientists, and other stakeholders to help conserve and grow the seafood resources that sustain us. We are proud that our efforts have led to the rebuilding of some stocks, such as yellowtail flounder, and better management of many others.
